Dr. Denice Buxton is a detail-oriented, seasoned, and creative professional with over 15 years of versatile instructional design and project management experience in education, technology, healthcare, and business.
She utilizes instructional design models (ADDIE, Agile, etc.) and adult learning theories in the creation of instructionally sound training solutions. She has created instructor-led courses (traditional, virtual, and online), reference guides, job aids, eLearning courses, tutorials, demos, and self-paced manuals.
Dr. Buxton is proficient in using a wide variety of authoring and editing software (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, SnagIt, etc.) in the creation of academic and corporate training solutions. She can multi-task and can quickly learn and apply new technologies.
In addition, she is a dedicated project manager who has worked on several project teams. As a PMP Certified Project Manager, she utilizes Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects. One of her main goals as a project manager is to foster a collaborative team environment that allows team members to thrive doing what they are experts at doing, as they work towards creating software, products, and services that customers will love.
Dr. Buxton is a lifelong learner and avid researcher, and enjoys exploring topics related to technology, higher education, marketing, business, entrepreneurship, human resources, leadership, and training.
She spends her free time engaging in one of her many crafting hobbies.
